Well, this year’s event started off with an overcast morning that turned into a beautiful day with NO RAIN! Well at least not yet.
Friday:
We had had 31 Kats attend the first day’s event and expect 3 more for Saturday including “The Piddler”.
The days events were highlighted by a delicious BBQ by Grill master “Larry”. The group chowed down on hamburgers, sausage, potato salad, cole slaw and beans.
The evening performance began with a cruise south to New Smyrna Beach and through the old beach side retail area. Got a bunch of looks there and elsewhere we traveled. We finally ended up at JB’s Fish Camp Restaurant where we had a good dinner with good people with exceptional conversation.
A little sleep and we will be ready for tomorrow at the Speedway.
Saturday:
The day started out beautifully, clear skies and a cool breeze. Larry started the big ol’ cooker early in the morning to roast the pig. The Kats showed up around 8:45AM. We got the small BBQ going for some hamburgers and dogs earlier than on Friday for those that wanted a bite to eat before the main roast at 2:30PM.
The group fanned out and took in the sights and bargains at the show and then filtered back for the gift exchange and the pig roast at 1PM. The gift exchange was a hit as usual and the pig roast was outta sight! Everyone enjoyed the 2 day event and they’re looking forward to next year already.
Enjoy the photos that were taken from the event.
